Letter to parents/guardians: Preparing for a possible move to online learning

March 31, 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Will schools once again move to remote learning? That question has been raised in recent days as the number of COVID-19 cases in our community and schools continues to rise.

While school boards have not received any guidance from local Public Health or the Ministry of Education about a possible move to online remote learning, we would encourage parents, students and staff to be prepared for all eventualities. We know that in-person learning is essential to our students’ academic, faith, social development and mental health & well-being, however, we all understand that safety must always come first.

As we approach the Easter weekend, we would advise our students to bring home any personal belongings and important learning resources in the event of a transition to online learning. We also strongly encourage our students, staff and families to continue to follow public health guidance, particularly over these next few days of Easter. We all play an important role in reducing the spread of COVID-19 in our community, in our homes and in our schools.

As always, we thank you for your patience, understanding and ongoing support of the past year.

We pray that our Risen Savior showers you with His blessing and that you and families have a Holy and Happy Easter.
